voting is the cornerstone of democracy, empowering citizens to have a voice in their governance and ensuring that the government remains accountable to the people it serves. Helps Fondaiton always support every action associated with voter education, spreading voter awareness and promoting voter literacy in India. As Election Commission of India says “Greater Participation for a Stronger Democracy”.

Voting is fundamentally important in a democracy for several reasons: Representation: Voting allows citizens to elect representatives who will make decisions on their behalf. It ensures that the government reflects the will of the people. 

 Accountability: Through voting, citizens hold their elected officials accountable for their actions. If politicians fail to fulfill their promises or perform poorly, they can be voted out of office in subsequent elections. Legitimacy: The act of voting provides legitimacy to the government and its decisions. When citizens participate in elections, they acknowledge the authority of the government and the democratic process. 

 Equality: In a democracy, every citizen has the right to vote, regardless of their background, wealth, or social status. This ensures equality in political participation and representation. 

Social cohesion: Voting encourages civic engagement and fosters a sense of community and belonging among citizens. It promotes dialogue and cooperation among diverse groups within society.

"Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav" Celebration by Luv Kush Pathshala

 

"Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav" Celebration by Luv Kush Pathashala at Thard with HELPS Foundation & Janta Foundation.

The 75th anniversary of independence is the opportune occasion to celebrate the great journey of India& it's people. A host of initiatives have been undertaken to celebrate the azadi ka Amrit mahotsav & one among them is 'har ghar tiranga' campaign. Every Indian is encouraged to hoist the tricolour at their homes from August 13-15 to mark 75 years of independence.

We also celebrated the Azadi ka Amrit mahotsav at our Luv Kush Pathashala by hosting our national flag & sang the national anthem with known Dentist Dr. Prakeshbhai Chaudhari from Tharad as Chief Guest.

This encouraged the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of our children & the tiranga at the Luv Kush Pathashala helped in promoting the awareness for the campaign har ghar tiranga.

The celebrations continued with some local and cultural dance performances by our children. We had some fun filled activities for them like musical chair and many exciting games and the winners were given gifts, Followed by a meal for them.

Celebrations like these stays forever in their hearts and has a greater impact on their growth & wellbeing.
